Naughty Bear Gold includes add-ons, out now on PS3, 360 photo

Naughty Bear had one of the more unusual premises for a game in recent memory. It also got quite a bit of add-on content following its launch. I can't imagine too many of you were out there buying it all up; perhaps this news will interest you.

505 Games has bundled the three content packs with the core game to create Naughty Bear Gold. It's available as of today for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at a more suitable budget price of $29.99. Not bad, considering the DLC would have been $25 on its own.

Smart strategy to get this game back on store shelves, but I can't say that I'll be opting out of playing L.A. Noire for Naughty Bear's sake.

This game I found pretty horrible.
Also it sucks how this is getting a Gold Release yet wet 2 gets canned.

Wet wasn't perfect by any means but it was fun for what it was

If it was priced $5 I would totally get it. It's a pretty bad game through and through but it's one of those games where you get the occasional itch to just go in and play one level just so you can tear apart some teddy bears.

Hmmm, doesn't seem worth it still with how bad the review for the original release was. @burningsoup said it best.

Does the additional content make it a 6 or 7 instead of a 5 like the review pegged it as?

I will pick it up for 10 bucks when the price drops. I can see it dropping to 20 in a month or two.

Does the gold edition come with the pre-order DLC for the original release? If not, then it's not really a gold edition!

Keep digging that hole, fellas... This could be the worst game I've ever seen to get second release.

Not worth a single penny. The last time I made a game decision that bad was Alone in the Dark, which at least had a fantastic soundtrack. This game... well, there is nothing salvageable, except for maybe the premise. That's about it.

Wet was fun. This game blows. Super repetitive, dull gameplay. Should've been a $10 downloadable and not a penny more.

Yeah it doesn't look like a great game, but the premise alone would be something I'd pay about ~$20 for, if for just playing with friends.

I don't blame you if you laugh at me for this, but I like this game.

The new box art is great too...damn, I wish they had done a Crazy 88 level. That would've been magnificent.

I liked Naughty Bear. The disconnect between the game world and characters and the terrible violence that was performed with them is what drew me in. The repetitive repetition pushed me away. Every level was the same environments, just in different orders or with different goals. It was built with completionists in mind - I played levels over and over trying to attain gold or platinum ranks. It didn't take long to tire of it and sell it off. It would make a great $15 game on XBLA.

@ barking dog - You pretty much nailed it, except I found myself replaying levels just for the sheer pleasure of maiming children's stuffed toys. I don't even remember what the unlockables were, now that you mention it.

I agree with you about the disconnect and the price though. It would be a little too grim to put people into barbecue grills, plus I'd much rather pay $15 than $30. Good call on that. :)

400msp + 800msp = US$15.
