Nathan Fillion plays the Halos photo

Okay, so it's Saturday and news is always slow on the weekends. Still, I think I would have posted about this any other day in any case. Why? Because it's f**king Nathan Fillion!

Bungie invited Nathan up to their HQ where he got to play Halo: ODST, which according to the latest Bungie update, Halo: ODST "is all wrapped up." Nathan actually has a role in ODST as Buck, the squad leader of the ODST soldiers you'll be playing with.

It looks like Nathan is a big Halo fan. He played Halo: ODST for about six hours when he came to the Bungie offices the first day and then came back for more the following day. He even got to see some super secret details on Halo: Reach.  

Oh, Nathan. I'd let you hold my sniper rifle any day.

This is really very confusing.

Whilst reaserching ODST before I noticed that one of the voices sounded familer in a cinematic. Me and my brother both thought it sounded like NAthan Fillion, however upon futhur investigation (look at the imdb page) we discovered it was soundalike (and Nathan Drake vocal artist) Nolan North!

However upon hearing this news I've just gone back the Imdb page to find it listing Nathan Fillion as the voice talent...


Can anyone confirm if Nolan North was original slated to play the role of Buck and instead it got passed to Fillion... or am I just imagining things.

Yeah I hope Nathan Drake is in the Uncharted film too ... =P

But if you are indeed trying to say 'I wish Nathan Fillion would play Drake' then I would have to disagree.


Nathan Drake's voice actor Nolan North would be a perfect fit. Not only due to him actually being the voice, but also because he acts whilst recording the voices for mo-cap. So he would have some idea how to play the part.

Also, never ever trust imdb. I learned the hard way that most of the content on that site is user generate, like Wikipedia.

I have to admit I fell for the dude with Firefly/Serenity as well. The guy is just awesome. He would definitely make an awesome Nathan Drake.

That being said, perhaps I should get out more... see the sites, enjoy life whilst i''m still young and able.

Nathan was the voice in the last Halo, he's said that publicly. He was asked to do it after the programmers found out he played and was a fan, as they were Firefly fans.
