Namco Bandai has announced that 3DS title Naruto Powerful Shippuden will be coming to North America in March 2013. This anime sidescroller comes from developers Inti Creates with a bit of help from Naruto game regulars CyberConnect2.

Naruto Powerful Shippuden is based on the anime Naruto SD: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals, and comes complete with the oversized heads and over-the-top expressions.

In the trailer above you'll see that the side-scrolling fighting looks fun, and that the animation is pretty slick.
