Name change alert: Glacier2 changes to Glacier 2: Hell on Ice photo

In January, we introduced you to Team6 Game Studios’s Glacier2 -- an arcade racing title for the Wii. Since then, the game has received a new name. Gone are the days of ramming numbers next to letters. The game’s new name is Glacier 2: Hell on Ice. It’s tacky, but loads better than what we previously had to write.

Like the Halo: Recon switch, it doesn’t appear that the game’s innards have changed. It’s still a Burnout-ish title, with a setting confined to frigid “mountains of death” (or the Alps, if you want to be politically correct). It will have players utilizing a variety of vehicle-mounted weaponry (rockets, machine guns, and even sniper rifles) in order to reach first place in a variety of races. We have a couple of screens of the game, so check those out if you’re interested.

The game is hitting retail in September.

If hell was indeed on ice, wouldn't the ice melt?

I am more interested in the "jump & run" games they have made, as I find both jumping and running enjoyable and would like to experience this bold sounding new genre I have never heard of.

Okay, so how are you supposed to aim a sniper rifle whilst driving at speeds over 200 MPH?

The visuals are stunning for the Nintendo Wii?!? I don't mean to beat a dead horse but..

[thwack!]

Those visuals are not stunning by any standards. Muramasa is arguably stunning for Wii. Madworld perhap. The trailers for the upcoming ResEvil and DeadSpace shooters might be stunning for Wii. The Conduit might be stunning for Wii.

Hell on ice = "budget for Wii."

@ Vexed Alex

That's not fair, the PSP has better graphics than this game LOLOLOLOLOL

Bad jokes aside, the subtitle of this game is hilariously bad.
