Bandai NamcoNamco's two-on-two fighter Rise of Incarnates enters open beta photo

Rise of Incarnates is that Bandai Namco fighting game that's supposed to be like the Gundam Vs. series but sadly, unfortunately, without any Gundams. If Steven hadn't previewed it, I likely wouldn't be aware it exists, but I am, so I might as well tell you that the beta is here.

And it's an open beta, at that, which means you can get right in. Would-be players can take Rise of Incarnates for a spin by downloading the client here, though it's worth noting a Steam account is needed. The beta will run through Sunday, August 17. Plenty of time.

I like the "Grim Reaper" doctor character. He rides on a wave of zombies, as shown below.

Gundam Vs-like 2-on-2 arena fighter Rise of Incarnates on Steam

Namco took the format of Gundam Vs. and brought it west with a new IP, the free-to-play Rise of Incarnates.  After some time in beta, Rise of Incarnates is now in Early Access. And unlike some games ...more

Namco takes Gundam Vs gameplay west with F2P Rise of Incarnates

The 2 on 2 Gundam vs. Gundam series is as big in Japan as that full-scale Gundam model in Tokyo. It's also big on the Destructoid Forum, in that one Gundam fan keeps explaining how it's the best fighting game and tries to get...more

Dirty Bomb aims high with its focus on hardcore FPS action

The folks at Splash Damage have been busy over the last two years. Since the release of Brink and a stint on Batman: Arkham Origins' multiplayer, they figured it was time to return to their roots with a heavy focus on PC...more

Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is out today, and it kicks the crap out of All the Bravest

Final Fantasy: All the Bravest was a travesty. It played itself, it was pretty abrasive in its pandering, and the microtransactions were so pushy that it was hard to enjoy it without feeling like you were constantly being sold something. Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is another free-to-play game in the same vein, but it's a much better effort that doesn't feel straight-up insulting to fans.more

Multiplayer-only Halo Online headed to Russia

Halo Online sounds like something you'd see scribbled on a homemade DVD complete with copyright-infringing cover art but, no, it's a proper PC game in development at Saber Interactive. Granted, it's a free-to-play, multiplaye...more
