Namco Generations brand announced for XBLA, PSN photo

Namco is digging up the classics, dusting them off, and cleaning them up for re-release under their new brand, Namco Generations. These digitally distributed games will come to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade with high-definition graphics and enhanced gameplay.

First among the upcoming retro revivals is PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX, coming to XBLA on November 17th and PSN on November 23rd. Additional titles in development include Galaga Legions DX and Aero-Cross, a reimagining of Namco’s 1985 arcade game, Metro-Cross. More classic franchise revival announcements can be expected throughout 2011, says Namco Bandai.

The games released under this brand will also serve as a sort of news portal. Namco Generations titles will be updated regularly with Namco Generation News, a newsletter that allows developers to reach out to the community with behind-the-scenes information, insider tips, and other special announcements. Players will be able to access the latest community news through the main menu of any Namco Generations title.

How dumb will Heihachi's hair look running on Unreal 4?

For whatever reason, AOL accidentally let the cat out of the bag about Tekken 7, which is going to be running on Unreal Engine 4, and now we have a big ol' trailer for the game. Meanwhile, in a different game about guys with dumb hair hitting each other, Raiden has been revealed for Mortal Kombat X, and he seems to have a very loose understanding of what thunder can and can't block out.more
