Namco Bandai wants us all to know that it's serious about being involved with digital distribution. In fact, VP of online development Robert Stevenson says it's "essential" to the company's strategy. Kicking off this new affair, we've been handed a list of recent and upcoming digital releases.
Ridge Racer 6 (1600 Microsoft Points) should be ready for download right now as a part of Xbox 360 Games on Demand, with Beautiful Katamari looking at a Q1 2010 arrival.
On the PSP front, the PlayStation Network will be getting Me & My Katamari ($19.99) sometime today. Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny ($39.99), Tekken 6 ($39.99), and Ridge Racer ($14.99) are all available already.
It was also made clear that future releases as well as some of the Namco Bandai PSOne back-catalog will be getting the digital distribution treatment. We're making it to a future without boxes, one company at a time.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Must...resist...rant.
I can buy it at Futureshop BRAND new for $29.99 CDN......
his is why I hate digital distrobution. It costs them practically nothing to toss it up online when compared to the shipping, printing and packing fees that a normal game in store costs. Yet they feel that selling at the same price or in this instance a higher price, is justified.
Booo
I hit the wrong comment box :(
But everything else doesn't concern me. What else have the published in recent history that wasn't an RPG (that was popular)? They market not good much. I'm sure there's something I'm forgetting though.
