I will ALWAYS buy any new Soul Calibur game because even if it sucks, I'll still get my money's worth playing with friends.
I just Hope Namco actually LEARNS from the horrible balancing and brokenness of the previous two games. Well, 4 wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for Hilde's full screen ring-outs from either side of the opponent. Oh, and how utterly horrible they made Maxi. Make him half-decent again and I will pay you whatever you want, Namco.

There have been a ridiculous amount of fighting games lately. Tekken 6, Marvel v Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat, BlazBlue, and Super Street Fighter 4, and I am probably missing a few others. I have played them all, and always go back to Soul Calibur 4, so I am actually pretty excited about this.
Hopefully they go back to basics and make the swords breakable because this game is one where guarding is overly used, and not as easily exploited.
Just looking at the timer it seems more likely to be a tales game; suits the style more than a soul calibur game
As long as they keep the gameplay closer to SCII and not so goddamn squirrely as 3 or 4, we should be cool.

4 was... alright. it did a good job of balancing some characters while making others total shit or play entirely different than they use to.
The soul will always still burn within me, Soul Calibur may not be the technical best fighter out there, but it sure is the funnest for me at least.
