I could definitely live without more Xenosaga...

Xenosaga Episode 1 was my favorite RPG ever but the second game was a dissapoitement and really liked the third game hopefully we the fourth game

I absolutely love Xenogears. Xenosaga I was good, but I just could not get into episodes 2 or 3 - and they weren't officially connected to Xenogears at all. If they could revive the original 6-game plan, I'd definitely be down.

Xenogears should be left alone, just like Chrono Trigger.

Oh man. I was just discussing with a friend the other day how lame it was that Xenosaga got completely screwed over and eventually cancelled.

Even an english translation of the DS Xenosaga I + II would satisfy me.

I'd be down for more Xenogears.

Xenosaga? Not so much.

Xenosaga is simultaneously one of the most incredibly engaging and frustrating video game experiences that I have ever had. I was absolutely captivated by the plot, the universe, and Yasunori Mitsuda's music of Xenosaga Episode I and even though I was incredibly annoyed by the fact that the only parts of the game that you actually "play" are the boring and completely uninteresting bits and pieces between the interesting parts of the story, I forced myself to complete the game before the second game was released. Then I played Xenosaga Episode II and was just completely rubbed the wrong way, the possible exception being Yuki Kajiura's music which is good though I would have preferred Mitsuda. The plot just seemed incredibly rushed and barebones. The emphasis on the universe of the game was kind of gutted with the loss of the encyclopedia. The game even managed to be more frustrating than the first one. Hearing that the third game's plot was cut short due to the series not continuing for another sequel just cemented my disinterest and I completely passed on the third game even though I still picked up the game out of some oddball sense of obligation.

While I agree that Xenogears is one of the greatest games ever made (and my fave RPG to date, even if the second disk is pants), I can't really get too worked up for the possibility for another Xenosaga. The only good thing to come out of that series is KOS-MOS!
Besides, Xenosaga was developed my Monolith, which is now owned by nintendo, and all the original staff of Xenogears/saga have long since left the company. That, and it was bandai/namco who cancelled the series in the first place so it's unlikely that they would resurrect a series they buried themselves and without access to the any of the original staff. I'm putting my money on something else.

sooo... Aside from the plethora of tales games, what other RPGs could they be holding in their vaults??

Ah, was gonna say something about XenoGEARs and XenoSAGA not being related, but it seems quite a number of people have beaten me to it xD

Too bad Nintendo owns Monolith Soft and they are already working on Monado for the Wii. Namco has absolutely zero of the Xenogears/Xenosaga team now. Monado has pretty much the entire Xeno team working on it, from Soraya Saga to Tetsuya Takahashi.

If it's a Xenosaga game, it won't be by the original team and will probably be bad.

Oh please, Xenosaga was the best they could without getting in trouble with square. And the games still make way more sense than any FF I've ever played although I've heard one of the guys who did the battle system is the one who made FF13's.

I made it through Xenosaga 1, no problem.

I have only made it through maybe half of Xenosaga 2, before I just stopped playing it for whatever reason and moved on to something else.

I haven't even taken the shrink-wrap off of Xenosaga 3 yet, even though I've owned it for probably around a couple of years by now.

I really need to go back and give this series another shot.

Xenogears is one of my favorite games of all time, and I loved the first XenoSaga but couldn't get past the 2nd. Something about the combat just made the game loss all appeal to me.

Totally agree...the Xeno series is the best ever. Xenogears is also my favorite RPG I have ever played. I hope that they continue the series.

That would be awesome! XenoSaga 1 is amazing. Sure 2 is poopy and...well I haven't started 3 yet cuz I still have to beat 2, but the series is so awesome regardless that a new startup to the series would be epic. Not to mention that there are a severe lack of RPG's these days. Screw Final Fantasy XIII, Xeno needs resurected!

for me XENOGEARS is still the best..HECK i dont even consider IMO them to be in the same series or in the same vein..

xenosaga series got out of control after the first xenosaga (NOT xenogears)..man the story got convoluted, its just too much to digest and most of them is not because its too much history and story BUT because it was not that stimulating for me..

XENOGEARS FOR LIFE...end of communication!
