N64 Kid isn't a gamer? Bid retracted(Update 2 from Niero) - Ebay allows you to retract a bid for three good reasons. The first is entering the wrong bid amount, and another is not being able to contact the seller. Thankfully, this other one exists "The description of an item you have bid on has changed significantly.". Destructoid was previously interested in owning the most famous Nintendo 64 gamer's console for collectability... hell, I was even thinking of taking the console on tour so people can do their own screaming videos with the actual system signed by this kid. But then I read this interview on DSMeet:
DSM: Are you a gamer?
N64Kid: NO not at all actually, haha I spend my time filming skateboarding and short films, editing, working on my website, skateboarding, being with my girlfriend, and what not.
DSM: Did you play the N64 for long?
N64Kid: I played for like a year then got out of it. I still NEVER play video games, cept for 007 golden eye every once in a while.
So, my perception of the item's value has been changed. The intrinsic value of a skateboard punk's N64 is about as valuable as any collecting dust at your local EB, so this isn't even worth it anymore to me. He was milking the video before, but now the joke's on everybody - he's not even a member of the community that's given him so much luv. At least we'll always have his one fleeting moment of true hardcore gamerness on film. Kotaku: "Consider your cred eliminated". Ditto that - Sorry son, but you're dead to me now. OH HECK NO!!!!! This little turds system is going for almost a grand now!?!?! What the F*** is up with that?!?! There's still 6 days left to the auction!?!?! Geez. Saying this was a smart move was really an understatement.

Sometimes having Internet fame can really pay off. N64 Kid is selling his N64 on eBay. The auction is at $51 as of the time of this post with 9 days still to go. You can buy what he's selling for about $35 at any store. And considering he'd only be able to get $5-$10 max for it at anywhere, it really is a smart move on his part.
