Sucks that we have to wait until friggen next year to play it. :( Oh well, it look amazing. This gets me pumped up for Mercenaries in 2 weeks.
As someone who doesn't like RE4/5 but loves the first few Resis, I'm really looking forward to this. I'd prefer proper zombies to those watery spike dudes but anything's better than parasite villagers. Good to know it's bringing back the tension of the earlier games.

Good to hear. Some jackass over at IGN was ripping the game. Not because it was bad; but because it was on a handheld. One of the worst editorials I have ever read. I for one think resident evil in 3D is a win.
You pretty much sold the game for me. I am so pumped! Now if they'd only bring a true Silent Hill and Face Raiders-esque, gyro-enabled Fatal Frame to the 3DS, I'll be in horror heaven!
This is (read: will be) one of the best reasons to own a 3DS. I have loved it ever since those first wicked animated gifs released.

Here's the thing: I didn't like the older Resident Evils (or at least what I've played) but I love Resident Evil 4 with a passion and right now this seems like the ideal progression of the franchise. I'm really looking forward to playing this.
Why can't Capcom bring this experience to a full console? I have no way to carry another electronic device, so I won't be getting a 3DS or PS:V. I just can't believe they would relegate the gameplay that MADE the series to a mobile platform.

I love your reviews Jonathan, you always seem so excited and happy about every demo you tried. While I'm not a RE gamer (just because I'm a chicken) I'm strongly considering getting this game after seeing your awesome reactions.
It reminds me that a lot of games are super fun even if they have a few (or several) flaws, and how we enjoyed a lot of the old games with their glitches and everything.
