Muse three song DLC pack coming to Guitar Hero III on May 8 photo

Activision continue their slow drip of Guitar Hero III downloadable content, this time announcing a three song pack from the British rock band, Muse.

The pack will the songs "Exo-Politics" and "Supermassive Black Hole" from their latest album, Black Holes and Revelations, along with "Stockholm Syndrome" from their 2003 record, Absolution. The content will be available on both PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Marketplace next Thursday, May 8.

While I won't personally won't be purchasing these tracks, I'm actually pretty keen on Muse, much to my music snob of a wife's utter discontent. I know next to nothing about the band itself, other than what their songs sound like, but I do know this fact: the band's frontman Matthew Bellamy owns a God damned jetpack. So as you purchase this song pack, do think for a moment what the royalties for these songs may be going towards -- fuel.

Disappointing selection of songs is disappointing. Also I concur, would be better on Rock Band.

How is the song selection disappointing? Those are all great songs! I mean, if you don't like Muse of course the song selection would be disappointing.

I would buy these in a second in Rock Band and it would be the first bundle pack that I bought all three songs for. At least we're getting Hysteria eventually...maybe Harmonix can scare up a couple other tracks and make its own Muse bundle. Or maybe even do a full album?

"I'm actually pretty keen on Muse, much to my music snob of a wife's utter discontent" - BLASPHEMY!!

Muse would be much more suited to Rock Band because the bass lines are just as important as the lead guitar. The only song that really fits guitar hero imo is Stockholm Syndrome.

Fun Fact: Teignmouth (the hometown of all 3 members of Muse) Town Council Chairman David Cox has proposed to boost the town’s profile by adding the legend ’Home Of Muse’ to the ’Welcome To Teignmouth’ signs on the edge of the town. However, he was forced to drop the idea after it was pointed out that the name ’Muse’ was an acronym for Medicated Urethral Suppository for Erection - an impotence treatment.

Poor choices IMO, so I'm glad that these are going to Guitar Hero instead Rock Band. "Supermassive Black Hole" would suck to sing anyways. Though I can't wait for "Hysteria" to hit Rock Band!

Ya know what sucks. Guitar hero has endless possibilities to add content from bands WITHOUT the cliché 4 member set up: Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Vocals. If Guitar Hero made added some white stripes, or acoustic only stuff, or larger bands like Slipknot (THINGS rock band can never do). I think it would up sales.

I want Icky thump on Guitar hero.

First off, Muse = god. Im an epic fanyboy.
I will be picking this up, because Im and idiot and bought Guitar Hero over Rock Band, but the songs could be better.

Songs that would of been better:
- Plug In Baby
- Micro Cuts
- Darkshines
- New Born (I don't care if its not a guitar playing the intro, that would be so god dman cool to play)

Oh well, after listening to those songs again, they are pretty good. Still pretty pissed at no PIB though/
