It's nice to have a mandate, but it sounds like they are putting out exspansions for the sake of it, and clearly to keep fans happy or like 5 ppl unsubscribed to WoW and went into a blind panic.
I still believe that Warcraft 4 could still come with an active WoW user base, and about 3 months after release of warcraft 4 they could patch the realm to adapt to a post WC4 setting.
Such a thing would inspire a great change of pace for the MMO culture as no other MMO could use such a story based change. But then it'ld most likely usher in WoW2 with a great new lush graphics palette.
I am shocked.
War4 will come out after Universe of Starcraft takes up the WoW mantle. Honestly, it's pretty blatant. SC2 -> UoS -> War4 -> WoW 2. That's the 7-year plan for Blizz.
Ooooh, expansions up your ass, indeed!

God I love blizzard
They like money. Color me shocked.
@Norgada
they will probably do that.
Also I dont like that they take so long between releases (Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 for example), and then throw me a expansion every year, doesnt make sense.
Stay away from Anthony Burch.
blizzard really is the only game company whos name i'd associate with integrity. You can pretty much count that if they make something which isn't up to their standards it'll never see the light of day (sorry starcraft ghost)
