After Viacom's sale of Harmonix, it looks like MTV Games is closing up shop, according to MCV. The company's international office was reportedly closed on Wednesday, with only a handful of financial staff on hand in the company's New York offices to handle some loose ends.
It's always sad when any company closes its doors, but it's not shocking -- MTV Games' only titles were, well, Harmonix games. Hopefully the former MTV Games folks land on their feet sooner rather than later.

actually, HMX are now a self-sufficient indie dev.
they don't actually have a new publisher yet, but then again, they aren't working on any new games right now ...that we know of.
