That's funny because in my store where I work (GAME UK retailer, I actually work in one of the largest stores), on launch week we had nearly a hundred pre-ordered Kinects unclaimed and unsold.
I'll pass Microsoft, PS Move has more appealing games at the moment and I don't even plan to buy that soon.

You can't bash ms markerting those fools know what they are doing. Kinect works rwally well after using it, I did look like a huge fag jumping around that and also flapping my arms around like a re-tard. Buttt they aren't aiming the kinect at us and it is wonderdul for little kiddos with tons of energy! As for the move well only game I like on it is the fight, but I cannot wait for no more heroes! :)
Oh I get why Microsoft is doing this: because Christmas will be when the WORTHWHILE Kinect games will be out. Microsoft wants us to get to prepare for that. Right? RIGHT?

As a couple people have already mentioned this is a classic marketing move. You can count on it to push a few people off the fence and into stores.

Holy fucknuts, just got in from Gamestop, they must have sold out of Kinect stand alone units. They sold at least 15 Kinect/360 bundles while I was there.

I'm just glad I got it for free with my new console (since I got a shit load of discounts at my work). There is no way I'd dish out money for the thing. In theory it's cool, but it's just like the Wii where controller gaming will overshadow the entire experience.
I feel as if they actually put fun games on the blasted thing it's be alot more entertaining. Instead of just rehashed Wii games which body flaiing is not as much fun as remote waggling for the record.

Kinect = Fail!! Yeah i know MS claims it sold about 5mil unis, but wait...in 1 year, nothing but shovelwar, just dance will spawn a thousand clones and skynet will penetrate Live servers to use kinect to film voyeur pron in your room.
As sigh inducing as Kinect marking has been, I don't fault the guy. He was put on the spot with a question that wasn't in his area.

Went to my local Best Buy and there were tons of Kinects just sitting there. Haha, he's a businessman, of course he'll say shit like that to drive more sales.
