MotorStorm won't be 1080p; Sony caught with pants down again photo

Despite communicating that their treasured MotorStorm for the PlayStation 3 would be in full HD at 1080p and 60 FPS, 1UP was able to confirm that this was actually not the case and the game would be clocking in at 720p and 30 FPS ... ouch.

Between a speech by Peter Dille, Sony Computer Entertainment America's senior VP of marketing, and a Sony representative both indicating MotorStorm would debut in the US at 60 frames per second and supporting 1080p resolutions, the Internet's been ablaze with speculation about the off-road racer. Too bad it's all for nothing, as SCEA told 1UP that MotorStorm is most definitely 30fps and remains at a HD resolution of 720p. 

Sony, let me make this clear: Your system is pretty damn good and the games will be there, but if you keep lying to the loyal fans, what are you really going to be left with at the end of the day? Do you even care anymore?

So, I suppose this means the rumors of them cutting out the "4th dimension" in motorstorm as also true? Damn it.

Hey, guys I also heard from the internets that the PS3 is a supercomputer!

*buys a PS3 for $900 on ebay*

Can't wait for this new system to blow my mind! Not like any other consoles can even do nearly as much as it can do! ITS A SUPERCOMPUTER

I hope your kidding both my local EB games and Walmart had plenty in stock when checking out both stores today, I asked the guy at EB games how they were selling he said not well.

Is anyone keeping count of these blatant lies on sony's part? It's making me glad the system is utterly tanking. It's shedding 3rd party titles like dandruff, the price is obviously far too high for the average consumer(maybe trying to force a proprietary drive onto them wasn't a tremendous idea), and due to the difficulty in developing for it, it's possible 360 games will just look better anyway thereby nullifying it's only real "advantage". Will it get better? Obviously still too early to tell, but I honestly think we can stand to lose those arrogant bastards for the next generation.
