MotorStorm delayed ... again photo

Originally thought to be out in the U.S. on Feb. 26, MotorStorm (that gritty driving game Sony is banking heavily on) has been pushed back to a vague "spring 2007" release date. While the delay will annoy those who have nothing to do but play Resistance and a GT demo all day, you gotta put it in perspective: at least it's getting more love and attention, right?

Sony responded to the delay:

"The team is doing some additional fine tuning and getting the online features squared away so they are taking a bit more time," said the Sony representative. "It'll come out in March, though we make the specific date public yet."

Too bad that Japanese version was a total rush job. Sucks for you, I suppose, Japan.

Is it me, or does the framerate not hold steady on the demo they have in PS3 kiosks?

The framerates for the store demos were not holding out on the framerates yes but before i sold my ps3 to get an xbox 360 i downloaded the demo and it was much better. As for waiting longer for the game to come out, come on sony theres already few enough good games out and even then its still months away for anything worth buying... Sucks they did rush out the japanese version then I guess if they are holding the US realese back. Last gen ps2 was the way to go but this time around the xbox is taking the king position, in more ways than one.

I played it at a kiosk at EB and it was pretty smooth. Too bad this is all the PS3 has going for it right now.

Somethings it's just better to abandon a project, tell that it isn't what you hoped for and start all over with a new project.

Framerate issues aside, it's a really pretty game, but it looks like a gussied up ATV Off Road Fury. Which is fine, I guess, but it doesn't scream "Killer App" to me.

Come out with it. Motorstorm doesn't actually exist; it's just a figment of everybody's imagination.

If it came out rushed in February gamers would've complained how the team should've just held the game back for a month and polished it up more.

Regardless you know when it is released the game will still have online issues (what games don't?) and Videogame blogs will light up with intelligent headlines like "Motorstorm online buggy! What was the month delay for?"

Hurrah!

Everytime I touch myself, I think of that song by the Divinyls. Then the mood is totally ruined.

The graphics, they don't help the mediocre gameplay.

TO YOURMOM ( above post ).. You're right.. PS3 is alreaydy having problems with frame rates on intense areas of games !

Its so funny to read the fanboys of PS3 say "how when better games come out everyone will see" .. So far three major developers have publicly said this thing isn't fun to make games for. On top of that Sony has avoided comparing the Nvidia video card inside of the PS3 to the 360 because it doesnt have good memory bandwidth. G4 showed two games - one of them being Tony Hawk Pro Skater - on the PS3 and it choked in intense areas compared to the 360.. Gamestop ( maybe IGN ) showed Call of Duty 3 choking in intense areas.. People dont undertand if the Cell processor really is that good it won't matter if the video card can't handle whats being sent from the Cell ! ANother big thing.. How good the PS3 is or isn't .. Isn't really the question. Its the 600 dollar price of entry. FOr 600 dollars it could be argued that it is indeed a good value.. but Most people just don't want to drop 600 dollars.. and HD-DVD is selling much better at stores.. I have a friend who works at Best Buy.. Another at Target.. bit have said HD-DVD movies come off the shelf 3 times faster! This doesnt help Blu ray or PS3 sales at all !
People need to consider this. Games developers WILL NOT develop uber games for the PS3 if they feel they won't get their money back. SOny needs to SELL TONS of these things if they hope to be around or developers will be backing off like they already are. Do PS3 people not get reality ? Do they think the makers of Assasins Creed and Unreal Tournament 2007 just decided on a whim to also be on 360 ? No.. they understand they won't make their money back.

PS3 was practically in development at the same time as 360.. Developers have had working versions of PS3 as long as the 360. People think because PS3 was delayed ONE YEAR that its behond in this sense. Its not ! Devs had had PS3 just a slong and still they don't have any good games because its not friendly to DEVS..

Look at PS2.. selling WELL !! 129 dollars.. thats why !
Oh.. and also because PS2 was ONLY released in CHINA two years ago !! Soon 360 will release there.. they are working with the Chinese Govt now on it..

PS3 has only been out 2 months and its selling slowly. What the hell was Sony thinking ?
