Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe on store shelves November 16 photo

Midway has announced that it is "expecting" Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe to be on store shelves on November 16 in North America (November 21 in Europe).

While I do wish they had a bit more confidence -- "expecting" seems a bit non-committal -- this is good news indeed. While there are many games hitting this holiday season, many of them focus on single-player or online multiplayer experiences. Based on what we played at E3 and Penny Arcade Expo, MK vs. DC looks like it will provide a solid head-to-head experience that lends itself well to sitting on the couch with a friend and a six pack.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe will be available on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Which console (if any) will you be picking the game up on?

Expecting makes it sound like they have some woman on a table and are waiting for her to push out a gold copy of the game.
