Apparently there is a basis for Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. The trailer above possesses the first story elements ever to be mentioned about the game, and we wonder why Midway waited so long.
The heroes and villains from both universes are beginning to disappear. According to Green Latern (and corroborated by the likes of Batman) the MK and DC worlds are merging. This merge is causing the contamination of the entire galaxy. As a result, both sides must team up with their villains and fight the opposing universe.
While I’m not wholly opposed to Joker playing ball with Batman, I can’t help but wonder how long it took to draw this up. I honestly hope Midway spent the majority of their time fine-tuning the mechanics instead of attempting to make Wonder Woman appear as vapid as possible.
That said, I’m pretty happy that there are cut-scenes. Let’s hope Johnny Cage’s burnt, autographed picture makes a comeback. How are you guys feeling about the trailer?

These guys need to learn how to share.
What worries me is that I think an actual comic book writter (Jimmy Palmiotti) helped with the script..so really a story that looks this non-sensical is unforgivable.
Then again i don't know what else you could have done with the concept of MK vs DC
But I do enjoy the new look of the in-game engine. In the past it was so washed out, sometimes I wasn't sure what I was watching on a friends tv 1/2 the time. So there's a plus, who knows maybe there could be a positive spin for this new entry after all. Just the MK fan community has one track mind.. not an easy obstacle to get over. Period.

I know it's a dumbass fanboy question, but if Supes doesn't have something that basic in his moveset, I'm throwin' the challenge flag.
And that last part with Superman beating the shit out of that dude is exactly what should happen in every Superman vs ________ battle
