While this trailer for Mortal Kombatprimarily shows what's new with the Vita version of the game, I can't help but want to pull out my console copy and play a few rounds.
We're shown what happens when Scorpion and Sub-Zero pummel each other in a library, an office, and a skate park thanks to the wonders of augmented reality. There's even a tease for the Vita-exclusive challenges. Great song choice, too!

Does the Vita version of this game have cross compatibility with the PS3 version? That's pretty much my deciding factor for the Vita and this game right now.

That preview somehow makes me want the game even though I hated the PS3 version. Everything as stiff an lifeless as the old MK games until you're pulling off the bitchn looking special, and I suck at pulling those off. Maybe the touch controls will up the fun factor for me?
pretty sure they've said there wasn't crossplay with PS3, which is a bit of bummer. Is this saying there's actually going to be AR in Mortal Kombat? i was already planning to buy it, but if thats true i'll reserve it yesterday.

to be honest, I don't think they meant you can use AR to play it like that. I think they just meant you can play the game in a library or a skatepark or wherever you may be.
If I never see my copy of Mortal Kombat from my brother. I may be tempted to dish out some money for a Vita and that. But I think I might wait until it drops in price. 230 quid is better off as graphics card money. :P
So far nothing game wise has made me want to buy a PS vita, i might wait till it drops below a $100 to pick it up and try it out, unless they can do what nintendo does with the 3DS and give me games that are exclusive to the handheld that make it worth buying.
Resident evil revelations was the game that got me to pick a 3DS, i'm hoping with 6 they add some of the replay value that is in revelations, otherwise it will be like 4, and 5 played them once and never touched them again.
