That Mortal Kombat web series we haven't talked about in two months or so? It's coming April 12th! Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and Machinima signed an agreement to distribute the entire series -- dubbed Mortal Kombat: Legacy -- on Machinima's YouTube channel.
Directed by Kevin Tancharoen, Michael Jai White (The Dark Knight, Black Dynamite) will play Jax, Darren Shalavi (Alone in the Dark, Sanctuary, Ip Man 2) will feature as Kano, and Jeri Ryan (Star Trek: Voyager) will make it futile for you to resist her Sonya Blade. Legacy was created with input from NetherRealms and Ed Boon, so it will probably be a more faithful adaptaton than, say, the Tekken or Legend of Chun Li movies.
Leading up to the premiere of the 9-webisode live action series, which focuses on different characters' backgrounds and their motivation for ripping out spinal columns, Machinima will host Tancharoen and cast members in a special live event.
While you wait for that, check out the sneak peek video.

Meet the rest of the team
Looks pretty cool so far, though does anyone know if it's going to be played straight like The Dark Knight, or is it going to have some of the absurdity the series is famous for?
Alright! Can't wait! I'll probably subscribe to Machinima again just to look out for it. I guess won't mind having to clear Black Ops and Halo Reach video commentaries from my subscription box until I see MK: Legacy.
Also, who did Michael Jai White play in The Dark Knight? I saw TDK, but I don't remember seeing MJW.
He was the black crime boss who was all "wtf you crazy?" at the crime boss meeting when the Joker pops in with his grenades. Later on the Joker puts a smile on his face. Also, there is apparently papercraft of him in TDK, haha!

Your a hater
Mortal Kombat is awesome and it really needs to get as big as it once was. Even if it ends up being bad. It'll be awesomely bad.
anyways he was about to get smacked by a gun not shot?
