Warner Bros. has just announced Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, an enhanced reissue of last year's wacky fighting game.
The new version will include the full game (obviously) alongside all previously released downloadable content. It will also pack the Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors album, and the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie for download via the PlayStation Store or Xbox Live Zune.
Komplete Edition will hit store shelves on February 28.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
It should be priced at $39.99
Any details on price yet?
with your heart so cold.
Sub-Zero.
Whoah, your life is a mystery.
Why you wear the mask?
Sub-Zero.
Yeah! Yeah!
Freezing Vibrations! (Yeah.)
HEART SO COLD
I have all the DLC but I'd ratehr have them on disc than hard drive.
Same here. I felt dumb about not getting the PS3 version with Kratos, but then PSN went down. What a week that was.
Cue complete version.. nuts.
The Wii doesn't not have the resources to run the Unreal Engine, the PS3 barely can for that matter.
Those capcom games added like 10+ "new" characters and updated/patched old characters to support the FGC while MKKE is more of a GOTY thing with music, a movie and previous dlc thrown in with casuals in mind as none of this effects tournament play.
This is more comparable to LPB GOTY edition or something like that.
I hope the online is compatible with vanilla MK as to not fragment the player base.
All the DLC... meh. They're all tournament banned and not Johnny Cage anyway.
Soundtrack... meh. I doubt it has anything on my Shatter soundtrack.
The 1995 movie... well, now I'm interested.
@Raukue: Explain this to me please, as I personally thought MK9 was pretty complete as it was. It featured DLC characters that were not on the disc, and gave you free costume packs, unlike a lot of other fighters now a days. If they were on disc, I'd probably be a little better, but that wasn't the case for this, and I think NRS actually deserves a little more recognition for that, as they made it worth picking up on release.
same with RDR :P
i think the good thing about the GOTY editions is that you don't have to worry about DLC during tournament play just pop the disc and all the content is there :P
unless it's a capcom game(FUCK you capcom for no including the costumes in the retail disc of SSFIV AE)
Go fuck yourselves, Netherregion, you inept casualware gore purveyors.
Now I have to get it. Oops, I'm Australian!
I haven't gotten the game yet, which I guess is a good thing because of this.. But now it feels like I should be deciding whether I want the Kollectors edition with the awesome book/game ends or if I want the Komplete edition that cuts out having to spend more money.. Guess its going to come down to the price of everything in the end.
Adding in the 1995 movie has me on the floor.. lololol
