Mortal Kombat: Kollection krashes to retail, kontains three Kombats photo

Midway has announced that it has "kwietly" slipped the Mortal Kombat: Kollection for the PlayStation 2 to retail stores today.

The three game pack includes Mortal Kombat: Deception, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, and Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, all for $29.99. I won't try to defend the quality of Armageddon and Deception -- either you like 'em or you don't -- but Shaolin Monks is definitely worth a look. Particularly if you have a friend (you do have a friend, right?), the cooperative fighter/beat-em-up isn't perfect, but it's some bloody, sloppy fun.

The timing of this release is likely to get people hyped for the upcoming Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, which in November. This also isn't the first Mortal Kombat package Midway has released for the PS2, although I can't remember what was in the other one; hell, it might have been the same package for all I know.

Cue techno music and hit the jump for the press release.

If only there was a way to spell mortal with a K I'm sure Midway would have done it.

Shaolin Monks was a blast with a friend. We rented and played it non-stop for a couple days. Great time

"who do have a friend, right?"

I've spent many a sleepless night pondering this very question.

Come on just fuck the PS2 off already. It reminds me of Psycho where the dude keeps talking to his dead mother. Just accept that it is dead and MOVE THE FUCK ON
