Morrisons is selling games ridiculously cheap photo

UK readers might want to schedule a trip to Morrisons if they're interest in some new releases but hate spending money. According to reports, the supermarket chain is selling off copies of new games at some incredibly silly prices.

Tiger Woods, Mercenaries 2 and Spore Creatures are all retailing for £15, £25 and £12.99 respectively, while Guitar Hero: On Tour is available for £12.50. Considering one or two of those are games I was curious about but would never pay full price for, that is tempting me to hop on a bus to Sidcup and splurge a little.

The deal is due to end on September 14 and supplies are said to be selling out fast (shocking,) so you best hurry. Go on, run!

Points Jim here, here and finally here.

Was a good haul... Going to be nipping back tomorrow to see if any more releases have been put out.

Yep, I know of this. I got Soul Calibur 4 and Mercs 2 for £50, very nice indeed.

I'd love to see them do more of these promotions. Nice to see someone give Game a run for their money.

Jim's just on a posting frenzy right now.

Going down the local Morrisons on Friday when I get paid. Hoping there's still some worthwhile stuff there.

Anarchists. Lock 'em up, I say.

Oh, nice deal on the games, too. I can't imagine ever buying the ones you mentioned, though.

@Holy - it is the 4th biggest store in the UK, after the big three of tesco, asda and sainsbury's. Not too sure if there are any stores outside of that area, well, except Gibralta but thats just a rock... with monkies... that attack... *shudder*

They do a mass drop every so often in Morrisons for current games. I bought Mercenaries 2 there. Expect another drop sometime.

It's not just those three which are discounted in the store near me. They've got Infinite Undiscovery and the new Viva Pinata discounted to £25 and below too.

I found this out yesterday when a mate of mine bought Mercs 2 for £25. Wish I hadn't bought msot of the games they have, or that tis lasted until Star War FU comes out.

I shop there every other day as it's practically on my doorstep but haven't looked at the DVD/music/games aisle in maybe two years. Missing this I feel I should turn in my hardcore gamer badge.

Woooooooo Morrisons. I'm a department supervisor in the Harrogate store!

Games are always cheaper at morrisons. Even without this promotion they are still always £10 cheaper than everywhere else.

I could have saved myself a whole £10 on Mercs 2. Still I'll make sure I take a bus ride to my local store in the hope of finding not only the local greenpeace crew to poke fun at but also a great bargain

Morrisons have always been a good source of cheap, new games.

I remember getting Super Paper Mario for £30 when no one would stock it for less than £37.

They may not have the 3 for £20 (or whatever), offers, but they do at least keep the new releases at an acceptable price, unlike GAME, or it's tranny version, Game Station.

Morrisons was the only place i could find Mario Kart Wii at recommended retail price, unlike the unoffical £50 price everywhere else had.
