More screens of BioShock Infinite to impress you with photo

Following on the heels of their gorgeous cover designs inspired by the style of BioShock Infinite, Game Informer has posted some new screenshots of the title.

Setting aside the steampunk aesthetic and awesome walrus moustache for a second, the thing that keeps striking me is how bright everything is. I would have to think it much harder to make things look great when you aren't resorting to dim lighting or a low-contrast color palette. Beautiful stuff and I can't wait to see how it holds up to my naked (and willing, but demure) eyes.

That mech looks like the one the villain rode in Henry Hatsworth.
Is this game really Henry Hatsworth 2?

Sunny, bright and very patriotic settings. The polar opposite of Rapture.

Yet there seems to be a sense of something sinister hiding within the areas, like how aggressive and creepy the patriotic and destructive elements thats being shown are.

The moustache gives an awkward appeal for him. Nevertheless, all in all I must say this is something to look forward to. Thanks for the review.

This will look horrible, gritty, and rusty, and I will love it. Not really that excited, never have been for Bioshock, but I will probably pick it up, at least at some point.

I hope Bioshock Infinite has sections with citizens running about their daily lives. I want to see this beautiful little isolated world in action. Fighting hordes of enemies only gets so fun and I'd rather the game was slightly freeform / explorable as well as more event focused instead of linear shoot lots of bad guys.

When I say more event focused I mean running around say an explorable hub section of the city, while coming across different things happening in the world. Say for example you run into some megalomaniac (with his own backstory, idea or concept he/she represents, an ego, and a ton of power) enforcing his/her ideal on the citizens you come across.

Sadly that will never happen and instead the game will instead focus on running down hallways and shooting things... The games industry makes me sad sometimes.

Hopefully they concentrate more on the campaign experience and not bother with a tepid multi. If they must have multi, why not co-op? Also [/dude'swreckedknobjoke]

I'm not too keen on the new Big Daddy replacement. I love the idea but I dunno it just seems a little odd with the long arms

I love how Columbia seems to be the exact opposite of Rapture. Whereas Rapture was dystopian, chlostrophobic, and openly dangerous; Columbia is bright, open, utopian, and seems to be very "passive aggressive", in that everything seems friendly and cheery, but the entire city will come down on you like a ton of bricks if you step out of line.

I can't put into words how excited I am for this game. My one request, put gamepad support in the PC version.

Given half a chance, I would grind up that mustache, snort it like walrus-flavoured cocaine, get high on the hairstyles of yesteryear as it swirled around my brain goo, and sneeze it back out to wear across my lip for all time.

And also I am looking forward to this game.

I don't know what it is, but something about this game's art style annoys me.

Or maybe it's just the mustache.

I hope at least part of the game takes place in darker areas. Which should, in theory, be quite doable. Surely a machine such as Columbia will have some extensive and geary inner-workings.

So are the Handymen robots capable of growing facial hair? Stark raving madness!

Eh, the handyman just looks plain silly... I mean, red and white striped boxers?
I was more interested in the cover art, when he was wearing a suit and a bowler hat... plus the face didn't bother me that much

Honestly, the thing that scares me the most about the handyman is the mustache. :-P

Hope the Handyman is steam powered so every time you gets pissed off a steam whistle goes off and his face turns red ahhhhh cartoons...

Game looks amazing and I can't wait my g/f is excited too and she hates games (other than Bioshock (1&2) and original Crash). I want to play this now please.

I'm really looking forward to this game. The handyman doesn't really look that scary, but isn't that keeping with what's been shown with Columbia so far?

@gamernerd: that's brilliant. I think I'll be disappointed now if he doesn't have a steam whistle that goes off when he's mad.

I love how bright and colorful everything is. While I loved the...soulessness...of Rapture, I don't think I would be completly interested in playing in another dark world. Can't wait to hear more about this game in the future.

I feel for some reason that the final levels of this game will contrast all the bright by taking place during a storm or something.
