More Overlord II screens give us excuse to talk about Overlord photo

Apparently, Codemasters didn't have room in its email to give us more than two screens with yesterday's dev diary, and has provided three more pretty pictures for Overlord fans to gawp at. I don't really mind, however, because I'll grab any excuse I can to talk about the evil dictator simulator.

The majority of the assets coming out so far revolve around "Nordberg," a new snow-covered setting where The Overlord begins his adventure as a young "Overlad." These screens show off yetis and wolves, which The Overlord's Minions now seem able to commandeer and ride into battle. This, I like.

From the early looks of things, Overlord II is shaping up to be as fun as the original, but with a number of improvements that should hopefully push it into golden territory. I'm hoping it'll be at E3 in some way, shape or form. I really need to try it out sooner rather than later.

Also harems!

Now I just wish they'd fix his goddamn cape! Even at the end my Overlord looked like Sauron as a hobo.

Yes that picture is awesome. I enjoyed the first Overlord from what I played of it. Looking forward to this one.

I wish there was more evil to this game. Cause this looks kind of slapstickish.

As a person who hasn't gotten around to playing the first one(I really did though) this has me colored interested. From what I hear, the 'moral' choices in this one will make more sense than the last one. However, that's all based on comments of others unfortunately. Still, to be either evil or more evil sounds like something up my alley.

Like the game on the PS3, so as long as there are some improvements and nice additions to the game, will definitely pick this on up. Surprisingly, I found control much easier with a controller rather than a keyboard.

I hated the first game. I wanted to like it but just couldn't. I liked the idea, but the controls were atrocious and so was the camera. I'll give this one a rental playthrough, at least.
