More Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 assets than you could ever need photo

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 launches exclusively on the PS3 on September 29, and to celebrate, Tecmo has sent us more pictures than you could ever really need. If the motion-controlled boobs aren't going to convince you to buy the game, I doubt these images will.

I'm quite looking forward to Sigma 2, since it seems Tecmo is really giving its all on this one. If it's a success, it will be a strong statement about former Team Ninja chief Tomonobu Itagaki and whether or not he was truly essential to the franchise's quality. So far his departure has meant less blood and more breasts for the series, so it's a little bit of win/lose.

Are you planning to pick this up? Do you think it'll be better or worse than the Xbox 360 original?

I never played the 360 version and won't comment on which is better. I'm just happy this one looks to be everything and more I'd expect in a sequel to Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Can't wait to have a boobie-shaking match against my friends online.

It's looking wonderful. I took the dust off my Ninja Gaiden Sigma this week to try and make a personal speed run on Very Hard(too old for Master Ninja) and got my ass handed to me. It struck me how poorly designed almost every non-combat portion of the game is. Ninja Gaiden 2 really worked upon the mess that was walking around the capital city with little to no clue about where to go and how to get there. The game shoots stuff at you in a disorganized manner and I remember only having a huge amount of fun my second time through, when I knew just what to do to get my combat fix and push the story forward.

Besides, I don't think a remake will help us determine whether Itagaki is crucial to Team Ninja or not. I'll wait for Metroid:Other M to make my mind.

About which version will be better, given that blood and digital breasts don't really turn me on, I'll judge on content and replayability alone. And Sigma seems to have nailed it. A must-buy in my book.

I had a fun time with Ninja Gaiden 2 and based on the amount of stuff they're adding into Sigma 2 I am down. The additional stuff they threw in to the Gamestop exclusive version was enough to make me bite despite my aversion to the company.

I enjoyed the 360 version quite a bit, but I have no desire to play it again really. Is the game improved in any way at all? Is the camera still a piece of shit? Do Rocket wielding ninjas still shoot rockets from off screen?

If so I'll pass regardless of new content.

I'm praying for the rebalancing. There's a lot of techinical shit to do to get by the harder modes, believe it or not. As broken as NG2 was for the 360, I hope they just didn't remake it for da boobs.

Plus, new weapons!!

I never got to try the second one, but I absolutely LOVE the first Sigma, more than the original or Black, so if that's any indication then I'm sold. I really do think it's stupid that the blood was toned down, though. But come on, online co-op is like a seller by itself right there.

i predict like most games it will get a patch in about a week after launch and everything will be fine, but it will be better then 2 on the xbox only because they had nowhere to go but up, when your adding onto a established game its hard to mess up

I hope "interactive boobie jiggle" becomes an industry standard.

Example: "GAME X #22394 Received an 8.5 out of 10 because it lacked the ability to move the female character's breasts up and down when I wanted to. I would have given it that extra half-point, but that right there is what killed it for me."

I very much wish I had money for a PS3 right now. I'm honestly more excited for this than God of War 3. Does that make me a terrible person?

"it will be a strong statement about former Team Ninja chief Tomonobu Itagaki and whether or not he was truly essential to the franchise's quality"

I'd wait for Ninja Gaiden 3 to decide that. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is an expansion of a full game, where the concept, mechanics and vision are already there. Besides, key senior staff also left with Itagaki and we will have to wait until Metroid or NG3 to know what this headless Team Ninja can do.
