A new video of Legendary: The Box was released that I thought I would share with you all. The first thing I should mention is that everything you see in the video is not pre-rendered cinematic -- Everything is happening in real time within the game. The character you see in the beginning is the thief Deckard who opens up Pandora's Box and unleashes hell on Earth. The video goes through multiple locations and shows off enemies both new and old. The best part is at the one-minute mark when you see a Golem form right in front of your eyes. I'm still trying to figure out how you're going to be able take this creature down.

I was really surprised at all the commenters on my hands-on report the other day who said they had no idea about Legendary. It still needs a lot of work to be done but I still feel very strongly that this is going to be a really epic game. Not epic in the sense of Halo or Half-Life of course but epic nonetheless.

It definitely has potential, hopefully it gets a good amount of polish. Why such a terrible name though, ditch "the box" and just call it Legendary.

With another year of development, that could be one hell of a game.

that monster made up of rocks and metal and shit reminds me of that one episode of the real ghostbusters I have on tape. the ghost possesses a bunch of metal and forms a giant monster.

yes.

the game.

I could care less, just wanted to toss a ghostbusters reference out there

The trailer does have a point, "some boxes... should never... be open." Hell hath no fury like a woman scorn.

was that the wilhelm scream I heard in there? geez now that the film industry is tired of it, sound producers for games are gonna use it to death?

Leon-G: Yeah, I don't know what was up with that. I think it was only added in for this trailer because I played this part of the game a couple of times and never heard it go off. Of course, the characters will all have different screams but still, lame.

Whoever was storing that box should have pulled a Raiders of the Lost Ark and put it in an unmarked box in a gigantic warehouse full of unmarked boxes, rather than leaving it prominently displayed in the middle of a tiny room. Next time.

I thought this was a Metal Gear Solid spinoff at first. :(

Was it just me, or did the trailer have like four or five different soundtracks on it? It's like they were trying to decide which over-the-top cliche movie trailer music to use, said fuck it, and split the difference.

And I'm guessing the Wilhelm scream was added by some bored video editor. Fuck, at least three of us got it.

A dark and gritty FPS with demons, guns and big bosses? Shit, that's new!

If we learned anything from Raiders of the Lost Ark, anytime you open up an ancient box that seals in the undeniable chaos and wrath of existance, shit's gonna fly.

The "dick in the box" song was echoing in my head while watching the whole trailer. Now that's legendary.

Looks cool. Call of Duty + Doom + Ghostbusters = Legendary.

It could use a new name; "Legendary: The Box" seems so generic. Unless it's going to be a series, in which case the next one should be "Legendary: The Shaft". (Yes, I had to go there.)

Man people are dumb, you know this box if you open it will cause some kind of trouble on earth, yet you go and do it anyways... And why would they even leave a box out like that for people to touch? O and wtf is that guy gonna do against a monster made out of concrete with a simple shotgun, pwn I tell you!
