@Jumbo: Got that right. This game is looking really good with that Darkest Hour and The Bronx business. Rush's Spirit of the Radio FTW!

Of course, when one of my favorite bands, Brand New, finally makes it into a music game, I have zero interest in the genre anymore...

Not liking the live version of Lust for Life, shame, as it was one of the hand full of songs that interested me on GH5.

So it has Lust For Life, but no I Wanna Be Your Dog.

They don't have the mediocre b side from my favorite obscure band!

I'm always one to talk up Gorillaz with animalistic fervor, but I just don't think Guitar Hero is really the best place for it to crop up in the music world. Play That Funky Music cropping up is just about the best thing ever, however.

Oh, how 'bout that. 2/3 of those 'new features' have been in a 2 year-old music game for the past 2 years. Way to innovate, Activision!

Bleh. I was hoping Gorillaz would show up in Rock Band first, since the idea of a virtual band being played by a virtual band always entertained me. There's a decent chunk of artists and songs I'd like to see on my Rock Band screen one day.

Curse you Activision.

Only giving them props for Sunny Day Real Estate. That alone will justify my buying of this game.

*sigh* Sadly, this track list is fncking incredible.* Which means I've pretty much already pre-ordered and fully paid for this game, even though I hate everything about it. . . but the track list.

*-this is my attempt at cleaning up my often times offensive cursing in my comments.

Heh, I think I actually [url=http://www.destructoid.com/blogs/SWE3tMadness/video-links-for-almost-all-of-the-guitar-hero-5-announced-setlist--140861.phtml]beat you to it]] this time around, Nick.

Peter Frampton, Rush, and A Perfect Circle all make me very happy, but still not happy enough to buy the game at full retail price when it comes out.

@SWE3tMadness:

Hey, that's some pretty impressive work over there in your Cblog. You link was broken in the comment, so I'll do it again for you. Anyone reading this can and should find it here.

I'm surprised you say you don't know half of the songs. I'd say this set list is pretty strong!

I feel like I've seen a good number of these songs as already confirmed for the game...maybe it was one of those rumor-lists.

Anywho...I'd be tempted to get this game if Activision's DLC releases were on-par with Rock Band's. Or if they'd just stop releasing discs that should be DLC...I kinda feel ashamed for buying GH: Metallica and supporting their plans to screw over GH fans.

"I'm surprised you say you don't know half of the songs. I'd say this set list is pretty strong!"

"Half" was a bit of a hyperbole on my account, the number should be closer to about 75%. >.>
