Aren't most of these games found on some super Sega pack now retailing for like 5 bucks?

Probably, but this is on the Wii, so it's OK to pay more.

Streets of the Rage 2 is easily my favorite 16bit game of all time. If I had a Wii, i'd spend some bread and get it.

I spent an entire summer playing kid chameleon. That was all the adventure I needed.

Man, back in the day we'd have birthday parties and sleepovers and the only game being played was Streets of Rage 2. Also there was usually a dad drinking a beer on the sidelines whose sole purpose was making sure every one of us got a chance to play. also, cocks.

Wow, did a Summa sarcasm just passed by? Been some time. Sadly, though, I agree.

You dirty nintendo people. HD Kid Chameleon for XBLA? Bring it on, baby. I'd pay $50 for that.

TJ&E 2, is really good, much much better than the original and was one of my favourite childhood games. Still not sure if i'll re-buy it though.

I'm sorry, but as much as I would rather have the games on my Wii (and with the various means to control them that entails), I can't justify paying $8 per game when they offer 30 games for $20 on PS2. (Ignore the fact that a few of the games are Alex Kidd or the inferior Genesis port of Virtua Fighter 2 that I wouldn't have bought.) I mean, congrats Sega, way to cannibalize your own market. No one is going to spend $8 on games if you make the same games available for the most popular console (save the DS) in history that, chances are, Wii owners probably own.

I realize there are some gamers who don't own a PS2 for whatever reason at this point, but in this case, it'd still only cost $140 to get the Sega Genesis Collection and a PS2, compared to $240 for all 30 games on Wii. I'm fine with $5 for NES games (even if some of them don't deserve a price that high). I'm fine with $8 SNES games. Turbografx games are great to check out at $6, and N64 games are, in my opinion, a steal at $10, save for lack of rumble. I just can't see why Sega would taunt Nintendo fans so while giving Sony fans the advantage.

To date, the only Genesis game I've bought on Virtual Console is Gunstar Heroes, and only once I checked to make sure it wasn't on the Sega Genesis Collection.

One of the best consoles of all time...I love it.

Didn't even catch it the first time around. Well done. =)

and SoR2 is now the reason I can FINALLY buy some wii points. I'll get that and Comix Zone, then I can finally say my genesis collection is complete. (someone stole them from me long ago =/)

SoR2 is probably the only one I'd personally be interested in out of all of these, but I think it's already on GameTap.
