Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

Yesterday Like a bajillion years age before the dinosaurs roamed the Earth (according to our astute and so very vocal readers), more downloadable content for Saint's Row 2 -- called the "UnKut Pack" -- was made available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This last bit of downloadable content for Volition's open-world shooter gives access to more than 60 new pieces of clothing and tattoos, and is completely free.

Being the last piece of DLC for the game, this is the last time we're going to see the game's "spokesperson," actor/possible-psychopath Gary Busey, pitching the game in little vignettes. In this final video, Busey laugh's like a maniac. And then laugh's some more, before laughing again. (Note: THQ just sent this to us yesterday, obviously stuck in some time-warp that would result in the Internet freaking the hell out.)

It's all a bit unsettling, and makes me wonder if Busey even needs scripts or direction. It get the distinct impression that  they just let him loose on the set and hope for the best. Seems to working out pretty well, and at least there are no reports of anyone getting hurt.

I fucking love Gary Busey. Almost makes me want to pick up SR2 just for that.

Yesterday?

This is a good 2-3 weeks old.

I love developers that don't charge you for extra costumes... (ie. Capcom w/ Dead Rising.)

Yeah, Aurain is correct. This is old now, I downloaded it weeks ago. The story should be corrected or just deleted because I also remember someone else covering the release of this pack on Destructoid already.

Yep, I third the "old" comment. Grabbed this a few weeks ago...wish it was a little more substantial, but hey...it's free.

I think the news should be that Busey is promoting the free content, not that it was made available yesterday.

Also, Busey scares me.

Aurain: Try a week old. This was out last Wednesday for Xbox and Thursday for PS3.

You should be edited or deleted -- THQ just sent us this yesterday. I'll update the story, but calm down with the "old," would you?

Oh man, I love the super serious look he gives near the end of the video, after his insane laughter and rambling. He sells it so well.

Noted: Don't correct the writers here, even if you are polite about it.

But, I can correct myself: it wasn't released a few weeks ago...it was the 11th. So, that means almost a couple weeks, but less than a few.

@zombiekiller13:

You can (and should) correct us in any fashion you see fit. It's appreciated it. But expect a snarky (most definitely joking) response and/or update. The story has been corrected!

Heh heh...sorry. Re-read what I said...probably should have added something to note I too was joking. I blame the cold medicine.

Back to Busey...sorry for the derailing here. :)

Ah SR2, how much I wanted to play you. Unfortunately, your training level had no walls whatsoever. Of course collision detection worked, so I had an impossible time navigating your infinite plain. Such a shame, oh how I would have enjoyed using my katana on innocent passers-by.

You know what I absolutely LOVE?! When people point out the freshness of news stories! Please, please, PLEASE never stop updating the world on how "new" some story is!

I had no idea that this was out, so THANK YOU Nick, I'm adding it to my XBLM queue right now. This game was so much fun. Especially compared to the let down that was GTAIV. Hopefully Volition sticks around for a while, I want to know what happens next in SR3...
