Zeboyd Games is putting the stuff it had to cut out of Cthulhu Saves the World for the Xbox Live Indie channel back into an enhanced version of the game for PC and Xbox 360. Thanks, gamers! It's due out this spring, and will be a free update to owners of the original title.
Cthulhu Saves the World: Super Hyper Enhanced Championship Edition Alpha Diamond DX Plus Alpha FES HD -- Premium Enhanced Game of the Year Collector's Edition (without Avatars!) is the name of this thing. You know you love it. Here's a sampling of what's new.
- Cthulhu's Angels mode: Cthulhu gets women to save the world for him
- Director's Commentary mode: look for commentary icons scattered throughout the game
- Rebalanced abilities and monsters; Insanity difficulty mode
- Unlockable character Bromides
- Longer credits!
I respect Cthulhu Saves the World, even though it's not really meant for me. And this new content sounds like it'll make for the definitive Cthulhu-starring indie retro RPG.
