How sick would a Vita/PS3 game be. But one get them both, includes cross platform play, and all that other jazz. They could really use this as the flagship for that model.

I'm holding out for the possible 3rd party characters. Although Parapa is amazing alone. Hopefully Lamy shows up too.
Not really any surprising reveals there. Now, the real question is which version of Snake will be in there?
On a scale from one to obvious, these "reveals" rank as a huge "well, duh." There's no way they were going to leave those three out of the action.
Sort of surprised by the Snake announcement. Not the best move if Sony wants to keep this game from looking like a Smash Bros. rip off.

@holmes the developers have said that there's no denying the influence of SSB, and are proud of the comparisons but striving to make the experience fresh.
Including Snake isn't a problem, especially considering his iconic status on the Playstations, comparatively.

If Darksiders can take so much from other games, Sony's more than entitled to take "inspiration" from Smash Brazzers
snake is great news, not just because, you know, fuckin' SNAKE, but also because it means sony isn't sticking JUST to playstation-exclusive characters for this.
a lot of iconic playstation franchises aren't actually playstation-exclusive anymore (crash, tomb raider, final fantasy, etc.), and sony would be doing themselves a huge disfavor by ignoring them on that basis alone.

for the record, Nolan North does the voice of Hades, who is already in the game as a background character... however, you can't have a sony all stars game without Uncharted.
Scrappydoo addressed my biggest concern with this game, the stupid number of characters that will just be "man with gun". Too many of sony's properties are some form of shooter and the others are cartoony which will lead either to a weak roster if you weed out a lot of men with guns, a horribly inconsistent tone to the game with half the characters being realistic and the other half being cartoony, or many samey characters because of all the men with guns

you could argue that brawl has an unbalanced amount of "cartoony characters with white gloves"--for god's sake, one of the characters is literally just a white glove. but so what? that'd be a moot point because the characters have different and unique enough movesets to create a fantastic fighting game. i don't see what the difference is here.
if it's just the aesthetics of it that turn you off, that's fair enough--but the way you're phrasing it makes it seem like it would make for a weaker game, when it's just a game that caters to different tastes.
unless of course you have as big an issue with brawl as you do with this, in which case maybe crossover fighters just aren't your thing.

To be expected. Uncharted is a huge series for Sony, and Drake (whether you like it or not) is an iconic character from this generation. Snake makes sense because Metal Gear has typically been a Sony franchise. Cole makes sense too.
Nothing surprising, but still cool to have a semi-confirmation. Oh, and please leave it at Cole and Drake. No one else from those series is worth putting in these games. Except for maybe The Beast as a secret character. Though I haven't played the sequel, so idk if that game would make that canonically illogical.
