Monte Cristo has announced that registration for the closed beta of its massive city builder/MMO, Cities XL, has opened. Head over to http://jointhebeta.citiesxl.com, answer a bunch of questions, and cross your fingers you get selected.
I interviewed some folks from Monte Cristo awhile back, and was absolutely stunned by depth they're planning for Cities XL. Just when I thought they were done laying on the features, they pulled another one out of their pocket. You can read the full interview for more details if you'd like, but just repeat the "genre" to yourself again and try to understand the scope of this thing... it's a city builder and an MMO. At the same time.
Yeah, so they're definitely going to need some beta testers in on this one. If you get in, NDAs not withstanding, be sure to let us know what you think.
