Monsters (probably) Stole My Princess now an Xbox Indie photo

When I saw this announcement, I had to do a double-take. It never occurred to me that a PSP Minis title would ever see the light of day on an Xbox platform. And why should it? But, sure enough, you can get Monsters (probably) Stole My Princess! on Xbox Live Indie Games right now for 240 MS Points.

This is my favorite of the PSP Minis. It has a great sense of humor and addictive gameplay. For a solid week there, I annoyed friends and family alike with my non-stop playing of the game in the living room with my fightstick for maximum accuracy. I've already given the demo of the Xbox version a quick run and I like what I see there too. Give it a whirl if you haven't before.

It's a vertical platformer. You climb up in pursuit of a monster which you must attack three times. Every platform you step on increases a combo meter and the combo is broken by stepping on a platform a second time. As your combo gets bigger, you move faster. That's pretty much it.

This is for Mass Effect 2. Seriously though , there will be a few mad fanboys because of this.

Just curious, but does this mean they wrote this in c++ then ported to XNA?

XNA is awesome. Pretty much any slack-jaw can make a game and put it up in the Indie store. I'm surprised there aren't more people that do this.

@Graham Reeves: I don't know about the PSP Mini stuff... but XNA uses C# not C++.

Just bought it, I had 250 points spare so this is perfect and its bloody addictive. Sense of humour in it is awesome too and the music is great, its probably my favorite Indie game now.

Fun little diversion. I load it up on my PSP sometimes. Ys Seven has a monopoly on my gaming time these days, though.
