Monster Hunter G getting ported to the Wii in Japan, waggle not included photo

Capcom has a hard on for all things Wii it seems, especially in Japan. On top of the Resident Evil ports, Capcom is now bringing Monster Hunter G to the Wii in Japan according to the latest Famitsu. The game was originally on the PlayStation 2 and later ported to the PSP as Monster Hunter Freedom.

Monster Hunter G
will be out Spring 2009 and will be a near identical port with the exception of the new 16:9 widescreen mode and the ability to send items purchased from shops directly to your home. Fans of the series will be happy to learn that there will be no waggle involved, as the game only works with the Classic Controller.

There’s no word on any online fees, but Monster Hunter G should be out before Monster Hunter (tri) is released in 2009. Are any of you hoping Monster Hunter G gets released outside of Japan?

That's one hell of a pretty screenshot. Are these games decent? I know they're as popular as fuck in Japan....

Games are frustratingly hard to begin with, and not in a good way; the gameplay is not exactly easy to pick up, but the game certainly isnt gonna give you any slack. Once you get going though, theyre pretty fun, and a shitload better in multiplayer.

But with 3 coming soon anyway, this seems like a waste of resources they could be using to actually update the series in any meaningful way. Having said that, this port is no surprise at all.
