That seems like a really weak reason not to bring Tri G over... Really seems like another instance of Capcom not really even trying to test the waters on something that should do them just fine if they put the effort into it.. Specially considering how well they say Dragon's Dogma is doing for them here. Monster Hunter all ways seemed the same thing, just arranged differently.

im pretty sure this will have a lock-on feature like in 3G.
the loading times should be similar to Dragon's Dogma.
meaning it only occurs if your branching into larger areas and not smaller areas like in the older games.
same with Lost Planet 2. the game is huge and it only loads when you went in the next big level.
MH games always loads in any new area so it kinda kills the pace a little.

what happened to Phoenix Wright series??? Chaos Legion, Darkstalkers, Onimusha, God Hand, or even the vault games liker Killer 7 etc.
at least Okami HD is coming, but we want more than that.

It's pretty obvious that I want this, but I learned a long time ago not to get excited before a North American release is announced.
I have a strange relationship with Monster Hunter. I've never played any of these games and I have no desire to. However, I'm desperately hoping this game comes to the Vita, a platform I hope to own before the year is out. Hell, it doesn't even matter if it comes to America. It's not that I want to play it, it's that I know millions of people in Japan will, and the future success of the Vita is tied *directly* to whether or not it gets Monster Hunter.
What a strange predicament. Given that the 3DS won't be getting MH4 until Spring 2013, a port or an update of that won't do the Vita much good right now. Hopefully Sony can work something out with Capcom to make Monster Hunter Portable 3rd G or something before the year is out.

Monster Hunter Wii? Anyway, from what I recall, Tri did rather well here; I'm surprised and disappointed that Capcom is refusing to bring any of the newer titles here.
I got Monster Hunter for the Wii and it would hundred times better as a handheld (and it is a good game already). It is one of those games I would love to pluck away at while I lay down for the evening.
I'm still betting that Capcom brings Tri-G to the states with online play at the eleventh hour in an attempt to drum up excitement for MH4 in the West (ala Nintendo holding back the Pikmin 2 port on Wii to build up Pikmin 3 hype). Because, you know, that would actually be a good idea.

Hmm, wondering how the climbing, jumping, sliding is going to affect the strategy of the hunts. Regardless, looks totally rad! I got my 3DS and $40 ready to go to a preorder, Capcom! Make it happen in the West!
@deaddays I was skeptical about that too, but this trailer seems to alleviate some of my fears that it would become a glorified shallow cinematic action game. Dodging and counter-attacking while scaling to higher platforms so you can take down flying enemies sounds like a great idea. No more annoying delays when hunting Rathalos...
Its a capcom issue not a sony issue. Capcom likes to troll America, the monster hunter series would do well if they would support it properly. Yet another reason I'm not buying capcom til they show the west some love, and mh 4 for the 3ds is shit, it looks worse then the psp titles.. Not amused Crapcom.

Monster Hunter Tri (Wii) didn't sell well in the USA? I thought it hit around half a million in the states, beating Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.

I played some of the PSP versions of monster hunter for some time with my brothers and cousins. However, it didn't click for me. I feel something missing beneath this grinding, I didn't know what is it.
Then, I played Gods Eater Burst, and everything I hate about MH series was addressed and made better in my opinion . I really enjoyed it so I'm looking forward to Gods eater 2
Now I realize what's missing in MH series, the Characters and story.

I bought some Monster Hunter game for my PSP about 4 years ago or something... it was SUCH a bad game. I can't imagine how these sell so well in Japan. The gameplay I see in these trailers is seemingly identical to the crap game I bought and then promptly sold back in 2008. Yuck, it just wan't fun.
^monster hunter only starts to get fun once youve put in the 20-30 hours in that it takes to beat the insane learning curve. Once youve done that it has a kind of "God Hand" vibe in that its difficult as hell but the challenge makes it totally worth it.

Oh wow, an online multiplayer game didn't sell on the Wii. I'm sure that had nothing to do with the shitty tutorials, lack of voice chat, or the console's rep with core gamers. If anything, the sales of Dragon's Dogma show that there's a market for this thing in the west. Read any review and the high point was always the giant monster fights with the low points being everything they tried to crib from Skyrim and Fable.
I guess I just don't understand how a sale of a series on a console would affect a sale of the same series on a handheld. Oh well...
Half the people here probably haven't seen the 3DS gameplay and are talking out of their arse, I can't wait for them to bring MH to the 3ds but it appears Capcom/Nintendo doesn't want my money.
