I honestly don't know how I feel about this. On one hand, hell yes, we're finally getting an official western MH release again. On the other hand, I find it hard to give a shit about it being a last generation release. I'm already far, far more hyped for MH4 (especially after playing Dragon's Dogma), and its looking like Japan will be getting that right around the same time we finally get 3G. "Thanks" for the hand-me-downs.

I am a giant MH fan. But I am honestly sick of the same format being repeated over and over with no improvements to systems that need major fucking improvement; this is a pass for me. MH4 looks like a step in the right direction. I am excited for new mechanics, but what I'd really like is the Monster Hunter format in an open world with more survival elements. A man can dream.

In Japan: FIFTH. Wii, ps, PS3, 3ds and now wiiu. Wouldn't surprise me too much to see it on ps again, though that is starting to seem more and more unlikely.

To be fair, the psp version (and by extension, the ps3 version) are almost completly different games from Tri.

Finally, Capcom. They've been teasing some MH news for a good while now. So yeah, I haven't decided if I'm getting a Wii U or not, but I'll most likely be picking this up for 3DS.
I don't really care too much for Monster Hunter, I know Japan will go crazy for it and that's reason enough to exist but...
Why should anyone play this?
First of all I think it's complete nonsense to buy 2 versions of the same game.
And I'm quite sure there is a proper 4th one coming out next year... Which might actually have new interesting things to do. Maybe.
