Monday Night Combat was just announced today for Xbox LIVE Arcade by Uber Entertainment. Even though we honestly don't know much about this class-based shooter quite yet, I get the feeling it'll be one to watch. Let's just say the first trailer does a pretty terrific job of capturing your attention.
As with virtually all other class-centric games, all the major player types are there. Assault, Tank, Sniper, Support, Gunner, and Assassin (dibs!) -- standard stuff, right? Based on this first look at the game, it seems like the crazed sport setting will be helpful in differentiating Monday Night Combat.
Also, one of the modes is called "Big Money! Big Prizes!" These guys know who their audience is. Nothing in terms of a firm release date was given, but you can count on it getting out sometime this year. Make sure to hit that first link if you're interested -- it's full of good details.

Oh wait almost forgot to say TF2. Though as this is on 360 I can't say it is competing with TF2, and I even if it was made just to copy TF2 I wouldn't care because TF2 is great damnTF2it!!TF2!!
the animation was pretty lack luster and the designs feel really generic and safe...more than just class based gameplay is what keeps TF2 around...granted its support on the 360 is lackluster...
but on PC its the support and encouraging community as well as its stellar animation and design..
imitation is flattery, but this product doesnt look like there is much heart behind it
a class based shooter is far different from a team based shooter. a team based shooter may have classes but is dependant on teamwork to win a game, socom, warhawk, mag, l4d are examples of team based shooters, two of which include classes.
loewolf shooters are this generations crack because you don't care about how well you're being covered but about how many kills and points you can get. i believe actual team based shooters are what future generations of online games will strive for.
Huh, I get the impression of an inferior TF2 from this trailer, but that's what I said about Battlefield Heroes (which turned out to be quite different) so I guess I'll keep my eyes open for it in the future.
look, the classes dont look original but the gameply sort of does ( making armies af robots to do your fighting) plus the music and graphics look and sound great and it looks like great fun

Now that that's out of the way, this looks decent. I am a TF2 veteran, and I am willing to give this a shot, as long as the price is right.
