Monday Night Combat, Knytt Underground, and more bundled

10:00 PM on 04.11.2013

Despite being largely unfamiliar with two of the five featured games, I'll go out on a limb and say the new Indie Royale Spring Sun bundle is worth considering. Uber Entertainment's solid multiplayer-based shooter Monday Night Combat and platforming adventure Knytt Underground alone are worth the five-and-a-half-bucks-or-so asking price.

Then there's also The Real Texas, which Patrick deemed "a bizarre yet satisfying mix of gameplay elements wrapped up in a surprisingly eloquent story with a damn good sense of humor." The remaining two titles -- a shoot-'em-up called Satazius and a "Metroid-style 3D action game" Gentrieve 2 -- are new to me, but both look interesting.

By paying $8 or more for the bundle, Indie Royale will also include Ben Landis' album Adventures in Pixels. If you like the song featured in the video above, there's more where that came from.

Boy, The Hong Kong Massacre sure looks like Hotline Miami

Hotline Miami by way of Stranglehold or any other John Woo flick, at least. Which is appropriate for the setting. Though I'm also reminded of Michael Mann's Miami Vice movie for some reason. I guess it can't exactly be Hotli...more
