Last week had not one, but twelve puzzles for you to peruse over in the past week, and I encourage you to go back and give them each a try if you haven't yet. However, if you're all caught up and ready for a few more mind teasers, then I've got another reader suggestion in the form of another "escape the room" genre game.
Dtoider The-Excel has guided us to a flash game called Swan's Room that can be equally fun and frustrating. It begins just like Crimson Room but ends in a frantic two minute bomb diffusal puzzle that is a bit misleading. For those of you that have mastered Crimson Room, this one is a bit on the easy side up until the end -- be warned: you CAN die and be forced to start all over -- but it still offers some clever interactive objects along the way.
I like how several items had more than one use before being tossed away, with even some non-inventory objects also having a few different purposes. I get that claustrophobia is part of the point to these games, but I think it would be interesting if someone made a flash game like this that took place in a whole mansion instead of a single room, much like successful The 7th Guest game. If I can find it, I have a game that's slightly like this that I'll introduce next week.
You can play Swan's Room here, or visit Mofuya's homepage for more puzzle games. Do you have any AJAX/HTML/flash game suggestions for future Monday Mind Teasers? Email me or leave the suggestion in the comments and I'll put it to the test!

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
this one was pretty damn easy up until the bomb. i think the drawing on the note's instructions was incorrect (had you going east then west, not west than east) but I'm too lazy to go back and check. even if I'm wrong though, having a bomb puzzle that makes you start alllll over isn't that good of game design. will be interesting to see how next week's game (which is similar, but with a larger level design scope) also stands up to the test of time.
I died at the bomb, but I don't really plan on trying again.
Next week sounds interesting though.
Second time, I got to the bomb and progressed further than I had done previously, but still failed.
Third time (there was no third time).
Read the walkthrough,.....Fuck.
That wasn't too bad. I do agree that making the player start all over when you mess up on the bomb sucks, but it doesn't take long to get back to that point on your next time through.
