Monday Mind Teasers: Merlin's Revenge 2
Are you done walking in circles from last week? This week we have a spectacular game that shouldn't be too hard to convince you to play. First question: did you love Diablo 2? Thought so. Last question: do you like flash games? I knew it. Then you're going to love Merlin's Revenge 2 for the few hours while it lasts. Finding your way through its dangerous maze of an online world is enough of a mind teaser, but this game also offers a mini action adventure RPG all in your browser. In Merlin's Revenge 2 you've got a very pixelated distant cousin to Diablo 2, with similar goals and mechanics. It offers a minimap that's symbolic of 112 different levels, and each screen is filled with plenty of enemies that run towards you, as well as enemy generators that keep spitting out more minions similar to how Gauntlet Legends spawned foes. Moving is as simple as hitting the arrow keys, and battle consists of either furiously left clicking a target area, or holding the left mouse button to charge up an attack. Once you've killed all the enemies on one screen, the edges of the level open up and allow you to adventure deeper into the world. Plenty of new enemies and weapon upgrades await, and the ending is quite an exciting boss battle from what I remember. Add the fact that this game even has a save and load game feature and you've got something to help you waste time in study hall for the start of this school year P.S. This is your last chance to vote on last week's golf game debate! Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
