Monday Mind Teasers: Electric Box photo

Now that we're done with the mushy feelings involved with last week's series of emotional mind teaser games, it's time for another brainiac physics puzzle game! This one offers fifteen levels that will teach and torment you with eighteen physics tools, and even allows you to make your own puzzle levels.

In the past few weeks you've all been very attentive to the music in each of the games, and this one won't disappoint. It's got very loopable music akin to the Millennium Force audio playing at Cedar Point as you board your ride, and each puzzle interaction has plenty of fun sound effects as well.

However, here's a small warning: sometimes the later levels can glitch and become either unbeatable, or beatable in incorrect ways, due to malfunctioning level code. I contacted the maker a few months ago but never heard back, so keep an eye out for it in case it hasn't been fixed -- just restart the level if you notice it happening. Even with those minor flaws it's still a great flash game worth your time.

You can play Electric Box here on CandyStand.

P.S. Tomorrow is your last chance to vote on last week's Super Mario series game debate!

I haven't been on the Candystand website since the good ole' days of dialup. Probably 1997. Which is AGES.

I got to Stage 5 before I got bored, it was pretty fun though. I was really disappointed when I found out that the actual game didn't use that isometric style. I'm such a sucker for that stuff.

@Everyone: If you miss the older style of Monday Mind Teasers where I posted disguised game covers and challenged you to figure them out -- don't worry! They will return eventually, and then eventually temporarily disappear again on and off.

After about three years of using half a dozen game covers I started to actually run out of games to use! Switching to fun and/or challenging mind teaser flash games helps give me a buffer of a few months worth of games to choose from. I had started reusing a lot of old teaser covers and themes, and I felt bad, so I wanted to try this off and on method instead. Thanks for voicing your desires though! No worries.

I prefer these new mind teasers too. Although some of the original style now and then wouldn't hurt.

Thanks for writing up Electric Box! There are tons of additional user submitted levels you can find here: http://blog.candystand.com/tag/electric-box (we also have an iPhone version of the game with 60 levels total!).

Fronz - can you send me some examples of the level glitches you've found? Email: robin [at] funtank.com. We'll try to replicate and fix :)

Best,
Robin, Candystand CM
