Microsoft Game Studios boss and hyperbole master Peter Molyneux has warned against writing Kinect off so early. Despite it looking like a game that will do little more than on-rails shooters and dancing games, everybody's favorite hype merchant claims it will create whole new types of gameplay.

"Everything changes when you change the controls, and that's what's happening now with Kinect," Molyneux tells Word magazine. "It's like going from driving a car to driving a plane ... once we as designers have had time to play around with it, then whole new genres of games will come from that."

Oh Peter Molyneux ... nothing you ever say actually happens.
