Peter Molyneux - last bastion of reserve and subtlety
Black and White 3? Please?
Maybe by the time Fable 5 comes out he'll have finally implemented all the features that were promised for the original.
In that interview Molyneux seemed really really drunk. I kinda felt sorry for him rambling on and on and on.
sweet deal
As a whole Fable was not a bad game, just overhyped and too linear. It's still fun to play though. I can't wait to see the sequel.
I do love that Molyneux is so invested in his work. It shows. I thought Fable was a great game, even if it was short and had flaws
@DaedHead8 - Definitely, I'm psyched for Fable 2
@king3vbo - Yeah, I get the same vibe. The guy has a passion, and I like to see that from developers.
I'm really looking forward to Fable 2. The first one was loads of fun.
I honestly don't understand why people got so mad, yes there were things that didn't make it into the final version but I have a great deal more respect, time and money for developers who aim for the stars and fall short, but have passion, than those who churn out the same old shit year after year with a new skin.
That said, I'm always disappointed when people start talking about getting into the MMO market, I don't see them ever delivering such an immersive experience as games on a smaller scale.
Ok, so Peter can't talk about his mysterious project - fair enough. But how about this?:

Looks fun
An MMO with fable leveling aesthetic would be interesting.
-Changing faction via quests and actions
-Leveling without a real class system
-Aging based on play time and Will usage
-Having (or not) families and assets that play into quests as necessary to give them personal context
An MMO that doesn't have levels and class, but rather skill points (aside from EVE, I guess) could end up being very fresh
I seem to remember him mentioning this same(?) experiment a ways back.
Can't wait for Fable 2, but the "Fable 3, 4, and 5" comment makes me a bit uneasy.
I only own a PS3, but that game does have it's appeal to me. I needs me more dollar$!
That "mysterious project" has to be The Room (for those who don't know it, search for "Lionhead The Room" at youtube).
That game is everything I want to play. The setting, the mechanics, the sizeable portals, I love it all... mostly the setting though.
The only thing Lionhead has to do is give it a good plot and goal and it will be a awesome game!
Fable was pretty awesome, even if it was hardly half of what all it was promised and hyped to be. If Fable 2 is cool, and it looks like it will be, I wouldn't be against a 3, 4, or 5.
MMOs, however, can suck my ass and die as far as I'm concerned. More power to you if you happen to be into that sort of thing, though, I guess.
I know what the new game will be about. Remember Molyneux talking about how Lionhead has been playing with Artificial Intelligence for a few years and have made something truly unique that developers all over the world will want to get ahold of?
Definitely has something to do with this.
