Wait, what?!
Why do they keep letting this douchebag make Fable games? Any other IP in the world, if the first one was the best, despite having 2 sequels, that shit would get dropped like a hot turd, or at least sent to a new studio.
The thing that shocks me most is that the series has managed to get worse over time. I actually kind of enjoyed Fable 1...mostly. Fable 2? Ugh. What a lackluster, short, annoying, horrible GUI infested game.
Fable 3? I don't even want to know and I won't since I'll never touch it. Fable 4? You actually think I'm ever going to buy another Fable? **** you, Pete.
I don't consider Fable 3 a bad game, but it certainly isn't great. And its problems had more to do with pacing and writing than any kind of technological issue. I think the Fable series as a whole has been vastly overrated. As an RPG it just doesn't hold a candle to the series' that developers like BioWare and Bethesda are producing.
PS: He hasnt.
Then some other guy says his game is great and made a genre. Rage.
Maybe developer just should talk at all. Let's get some bland press releases out here. Rage.
Everyone's got a schtick! :)
What's actually more interesting here is a little bit of insight to the trainwreck: poor planning for the project. Not the most specific thing, but comparing timelines, Dev diary frequency, and the types of things covered in them, I can definitely imagine how that breakdown went down.
But hey let's cry about devs lying to us and leave it at that. That's cool.
The reason I think this is Molyneux billed Black & White as a successor to Populous and it hugely failed in this regard. Meanwhile Muckyfoot, made of ex-Bullfrog employees, made Startopia a successor to Dungeon Keeper to which it succeeded in this regard.
To be blunt I think Peter is nearly useless without his Bullfrog co-workers.
IMO i thought God of War 3 was a joke for the whole 7 hours of gameplay with NO replay value but this game is that but add some hours of wasted time with very little replay value, and i say that in a sense of who wasnt to do the same quests over and over, bad or good, and then wait through the horrible HORRIBLE timing after you become king to wait and see what happens each time... this game is nothing short of a joke
