Ripoff games on iOS are nothing new, with no shortage of developers willing to trade their integrity for a handfull of dollars. Mole Kart is an almost beautiful in its utter, unapologetic, shamelessness.
As you can see from the trailer, this is more than just an "inspired" game. Those tracks are lifted directly from Mario Kart Wii, as well as the power-up crates and special abilities. The only "original" element is the cast of characters, and even they look like twisted composites of every mascot character seen in a game since 1991.
I can't help but be impressed by this kind of plagiarism. The completeness and obviousness of the theft is damn near majestic.

I doubt it. I bet it was made in China. No offense intended, but plagarism is openly welcomed there. They have stores there that sell nothing but bootleg games and movies. Not some guy on the street selling them out of a box, but an actual store.
Man, if I were ever in favor of piracy, it'd be for stuff like this. Two wrongs may not make a right, but I sure as hell wouldn't feel right rewarding someone for "making" something like this, yet it's so, so compelling in its shamefulness that I can't help but want to check it out.

A game called Super Jump World was hanging around the top 25 Adventure games for iOS for both paid and free over the holidays, but it has since vanished. It was pretty much an exact replica of Super Mario Bros.

Looks almost identical to Mario Kart 7, more than any other mario game, with the flying sections, especially.... wonder if it will be tilt controlled.. if so, it'll suck... the first person tilt controls on Mario Kart 7 left alot to be desired.
If it comes to android, I might give it a shot, as long as it's a dollar or less.
Some dude: Hey guys I labored for three years to create this game that's kind of an unofficial sequel to Zelda/Mario/Pokémon. It was a labor of love but you'll realize it's very well done and it follows the original's gameplay even better than the original.
