Ripoff games on iOS are nothing new, with no shortage of developers willing to trade their integrity for a handfull of dollars. Mole Kart is an almost beautiful in its utter, unapologetic, shamelessness.
As you can see from the trailer, this is more than just an "inspired" game. Those tracks are lifted directly from Mario Kart Wii, as well as the power-up crates and special abilities. The only "original" element is the cast of characters, and even they look like twisted composites of every mascot character seen in a game since 1991.
I can't help but be impressed by this kind of plagiarism. The completeness and obviousness of the theft is damn near majestic.

Are you familiar with "doujin soft"? They're essentially Japanese indie games, and although most are of the fan game variety, major publishers tend to leave them alone. As it should be! Fan games aren't harming anybody!

No matter how much good press PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale receives, it'll never quite settle with me. The fact that it is a "clone" of Super Smash Bros. isn't what's bothersome -- I personally had a grand time with t...

You know that game with plumbers in it? That one where you rescue a princess from a giant turtle? It looks like some sleazy iOS developers have up and decided to develop a game "inspired" by the aforementioned title -- and th...
Who doesn't love a good clone? As much flak as people like to give certain games for playing too much like other games, its nice to see a well-established style or formula applied to a new world with original characters from...
