Microsoft has revealed that its deal with Activision and Infinity Ward to keep downloadable content for Modern Warfare 2 exclusive to the 360 for 30 days.
Speaking with Eurogamer, a spokesperson said "So it will be available on other platforms, but you get to try and play on Xbox 360 first." The same spokesperson also used the wording "content packs" -- not the plural. This may indicate that future Modern Warfare 2 will also be exclusive to 360 for a limited time as well.
In other news, Screw Attack's "Hard News" is reporting that anonymous sources have revealed to them a March 1 date for this first batch of DLC. The official official word is "spring," however, so whatever the case it won't be long now.

Nice "exclusive" DLC there MS, you hype that shit up real nice, 30 days?! Why did you even bother? 30 days? sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Just goes to show what MS means when they say that they pay extra for "exclusive" DLC - just to try and trick their consumers into thinking they've got some kind of advantage over the competition..... for 30 fucking days.

As a UK gamer I'm used to waiting months and months for entire games compared to my American and Japanese peers. Hell, we still haven't had "Demon's Souls" yet. I think I could sit out 30 days if I wanted MW2 DLC on PS3 or PC.
Your essetially saying give people on the other platforms time to forget about the game or move on to another game. Unless you wupped a large sum of cash out of the guy your keeping it exclusive too the pissed of players and bad publicity aren't worth it.
But then again a lot of things in the industry today don't exactly make sense.
but meh, I have a pc and a ps3 as I refuse to replace the ROD Xbox I have. I didn't buy MW2 because of no dedicated servers. This just sucks more cocks.

Besides Sony's decision to not ban players for using the javelin glitch (which I wholeheartedly agreed with), what problems are you talking about? I'm pretty sure all of the recent hacks and glitches have been in the 360 and PC versions of the game. MW2 MP on my $ony machine has been great for weeks now.
Besides, there's a lot of good games coming out in February (albiet no fps springs to mind); delaying release on any platform be it ps3, pc or 360, doesn't sound at all competitive. Furthermore, 30 days is not very long in this industry.

Do they think that they're going to get more buyers by putting it on one system or something for 30 days? "Maybe all of the PC fans who want DLC will go out and buy it on the Xbox 360, or maybe they'll buy a 360 and then the game!"
