In its continuing effort to dominate every platform imaginable, Activision and Glu Mobile have announced that it will be bringing a bunch of the mega-publisher's IPs to mobile phones this year.
Q3 2009 will see the release of Crash Mutant Island (yes, as in the Bandicoot), and in Q4 2009 we can expect mobile versions of Blur, Guitar Hero 5, Tony Hawk: RIDE, and Modern Warfare 2. Interestingly, of all the mobile platforms mentioned, iPhone is not one of them; the titles are set to appear on carriers and application stores that support Android, Blackberry, BREW, J2ME, and Windows Mobile.
These release shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, as Activision has always been smart (or annoying, depending on how you look at it) when it comes to exploiting its franchise. Curious to see the mobile Tony Hawk: Ride skateboard peripheral, though...
No.
I bought the LocoRoco mobile game (as well as Scrabble) for my SonyEricson.
Scrabble rules and is just like playing the board game (it can even be played with multiple people on one screen) but the LocoRoco game is SERIOUSLY lacking.
It's a decent distraction but it doesn't have sound effects (only music, and not much of that either), or challenge, or any real REASON to play it other than to kill time while I'm on break at work.
