I believe the word I'm trying to come up with here is "expensive." Needlessly expensive.
Jim recently gave us a preview of a single premium Modern Warfare 2 Avatar outfit and already we have the full set of them to glance over. Or, if you're really itching to burn Microsoft Points, buy them.
Now admittedly, the miniature UAV is kind of cool. But you know what would have made it even cooler yet? If the silly virtual thing was a free Avatar Award obtainable by playing Modern Warfare 2 rather than a $3.00 download.
Has anyone here broken down and bought Avatar stuff before? It's alright -- we won't judge.

Yeah, sure, I'll just take a completely useless item for a completely useless feature and spend 400MSP on it instead of buying a full XBL game. Yeah. Totally.
I've never bought avatar stuff, and I don't really plan to. I'll take whats given to me for free though.
MS are crafty with their pricing. The amount of times I've bought 160MSP songs for RB2 only to find that I have 150MSP left is astounding.
And of course, the only way to get that extra 10 is by buying 500.
Because they avoid tax this way along with exchange rates.
I had 80 extra points, so I got that big ass pirate hat. Please don't hate me too much.
The Props and shit though are really goofy and only get worse for the like $5 bucks they cost. The only reason these items aren't unlockable, is because they can get away with it a la Call of Jesus MW2. :p
If there was a Call of Jesus pack for the avatars with Jesus blowing shit up, then I [b]would[/i] shell out money for this useless shit.
But alas.
I still felt a little dirty.
But that Ghost Uniform has to be the worst piece of avatar clothing to date. Ever.
Not because I can't afford it or am cheap with points, but because the stuff just isn't very good.
Yes, the guy who they could get money off of for pom poms finds your MW2 stuff weak. Mull that over, Infinity.
There are no materials, no manufacturing, no distribution. The only price point is what they think you poor saps are going to pay for a fake t-shirt that takes a minimal amount of time to design and create. I feel dumb even talking about why this (Avatar marketplace in general) is so dumb.
